enzymeLAB v1.2

An exercise in the design and planning of experiments in enzyme kinetics

Introduction

This program enables you to carry out a study of enzyme kinetics using computer simulation. You can obtain a large amount of (simulated) experimental data in a very short time, and so can concentrate on planning your experimental strategy.
The computer generates an enzyme (of a chosen type) at random. You can then carry out experiments with the enzyme varying the volumes of enzyme solution used, the pH and the concentration of substrate and inhibitor.

The program allows you to determine the precision of your experiments, and to analyse your results to obtain values for the Michaelis-Menten kinetic parameters Km and Vmax and hence also obtain information about the inhibitor.

How to connect to enzymeLAB

For MS Windows XP users, Click here to run enzymeLAB. When prompted choose "Open". This will open a remote session to the enzymeLAB server

For Mac OSX users, Click here to download the Mac OSX compatible Remote Desktop Protocol application to your computer. (This is required to run the RDP Application)
Once you have downloaded the application, open the file with Stuffit Expander and copy the application file to the applications folder

For Mac OSX users, Click here to run enzymeLAB. When prompted choose "Open". This will open a remote session to the enzymeLAB server

After you open the RDP client link, you will be prompted for a username and password

Username: enzymeLAB
